Tanner started out in the car industry at another dealership in Smithfield, NC. His connection with a former manager opened the door for him to begin working with the Hendrick Automotive Group.
Tanner's family loves NASCAR as well as the Hendrick brand, so when they heard about his transition, they were thrilled.
Of course Tanner loves the cars, but to him, this job is more about the people. He says, "When you are able to get up everyday and be around wonderful, greeting, happy people; it kind of makes your life a little easier."
But don't think for a second that Tanner doesn't appreciate the product he sells. Morrison brags, "You realize after so long that every other car you get into is missing something." He goes on to say, "It's very prevalent that a Mercedes is a Mercedes."
His favorite car? 2016 C63, it's a popular choice at Mercedes-Benz of Durham. He had a chance to drive one to downtown Raleigh and back to Durham. Tanner says he is impressed by the "shear power and innovation."
